Will Mayor Karić pay more than 700,000 KM for Severina's New Year's concert in an attempt to flee to Novo Sarajevo?

In addition to being a parachute candidate for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, current mayor Benjamina Karić has apparently decided that the place where she truly lives will be the area near which expensively paid stars will perform.

Yesterday's media reports confirmed that the current mayor, a few months before the SDP leader thought of the possibility of tricking citizens with Karić as a candidate for the mayor of Novo Sarajevo, bought an apartment in the city center. Specifically, at Maršala Tita Street 19. And all of this at half the market value, after the mayor, by abusing her position, ensured that "the facade of the building where she bought the apartment would shine".

Therefore, it is clear that Karić prefers the Centar Municipality, which is apparently more important to the mayor than the other ten. It is immoral and politically unacceptable for a person who intends to live in one municipality, and buying an apartment undoubtedly confirms this, to offer herself to the citizens as the head of local self-government in another municipality. This is nothing more than a deception, which the citizens will surely recognize and punish by ignoring Karić as a candidate. I am not sure, but I think this is one of the rare, or even the first, cases where a politician from one municipality runs in another.

It is obvious that the Social Democratic Party is consciously deceiving the residents of Novo Sarajevo. Because, the citizens in Novo Sarajevo had a mayor who did not interfere in his job for four years of his term. Hasan Tanović, an SDP cadre, who will also run this time, but not under the party's banner, understood running the municipality as a half-time job.

The SDP has now offered a candidate who lives in another municipality, so running the municipality will, it is not difficult to guess, be a stopover for her.

Karić did not distinguish herself at the head of the city. And running a municipality is a far more complex and extensive job, as the city administration has incomparably fewer powers and departments. If a person struggled to manage an administration with few powers, how will she manage where those areas are multiplied.

This morning, the Cantonal Board of the Party for BiH posed a serious task to Karić: "The mayor should first ask herself if all of this is moral, as she questions many others about morality and always emphasizes that her morality comes before everything else. It would be nice to know from the mayor if morality has become a fluid category in this case, as well as whether our mayor from Centar Municipality, where Dennis Gratz will be the mayor, will run Novo Sarajevo Municipality".

The mayor will not answer, of that we are sure, because she has shown so far that she does not answer to the public. But she does answer to private companies and friends, with whom she makes deals for New Year's celebrations.

Mayor Benjamina Karić made such a deal a few months before the campaign for the Local Elections. And the way the New Year's organization contract was concluded and the amount that the City of Sarajevo, i.e., the citizens, will pay, is undoubtedly enough to bring in some world mega-star. However, neither Shakira, nor Beyonce, nor any ultra-popular group will perform in Sarajevo.

Mayor Karić and her partners are bringing us Severina, the Croatian queen of pop and occasional star of xxx sites. And all of this will cost the citizens of Sarajevo more than 700,000 KM. Specifically, 715,000 KM. The contract that arrived at Patria's editorial office looked like a good fake. The unbelievable amount suggested a deception. However, through subsequent investigations, we obtained bank guarantees for this contract, which indicates that it is indeed, truly real!

The organizer of the New Year's celebration is Kraljica d.o.o., with whom the City Administration, led by Karić, conducted a direct negotiation procedure without prior notice.

Severina is therefore more expensive than all previous artists who performed at New Year's Eve celebrations in Sarajevo. This casts doubt on the process of organizing the New Year's entertainment, so investigative bodies should look into the whole story. Because, the amount of 700,000 KM is three times higher than the amounts paid to the biggest regional stars Dino Merlin, Hari Mata Hari, and Zdravko Čolić. It is noticeable that after the arrival of Mayor Karić, the Sarajevo City Administration is giving much more money for New Year's Eves. For example, if Merlin had sung for two nights, it would still cost less than what we will pay for two nights of revelry with Severina and a DJ.

The citizens of Novo Sarajevo must ask themselves if they want an municipal "diaspora" to run for mayor, who clearly likes to waste and spend all citizens' money, and besides, they must not forget the fact that Karić likes to pop over to Rome, the Cannes Film Festival, and the like. Let them think, everything will become clear to them.
