
(Patria) - An online meeting of the presidents of the Croatian National Assembly parties was held, chaired via video link by Dragan Čović, President of the Croatian National Assembly and leader of HDZ BiH.
The video meeting discussed the current health situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding area, caused by the current coronavirus pandemic. Health protection of the population was emphasized as a priority, and a call was made to respect all measures adopted by the Civil Protection Headquarters and expert services at all levels, in order to overcome this health crisis as quickly and painlessly as possible.
The Croatian National Assembly condemns and rejects attempts to prevent the work of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, and called for urgent and legally based action by all government institutions. The need to respect constitutionality and legality was emphasized, as well as insistence on the work and sessions of the legislative authority.
In addition to the health protection of the population, measures to help the economy, retain jobs, incentives and relief for domestic production, assistance to small businesses, small, medium and large enterprises were also discussed, considering that the market is completely disrupted.
The importance of systemic action was highlighted in order to preserve the fiscal, economic, social and societal framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was emphasized today. An economic recovery plan is a priority, as is the revival and development of the economy, with the help and solidarity of the European Union and international institutions, it was concluded at the meeting of the Croatian National Assembly.
