Urgent session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly: Information requested on drug presence, violence, criminal offenses, and prevention measures

(Patria) - An urgent session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly will be held on Friday, March 29, on the topic of security in Sarajevo Canton, following several incidents that have disturbed citizens in recent months.

Information with relevant elements, indicators, and comments related to the presence of drugs on the streets and in schools in the Sarajevo Canton, the presence of criminal offenses against public safety of people and property (theft, burglary, robbery, etc.), the presence of specific forms of violent behavior (domestic violence, peer violence, etc.), the presence of juvenile delinquency, the presence of criminal offenses against public order and peace, traffic safety, against life and limb, freedoms and rights of citizens, the presence of criminal offenses against marriage and family, without excluding other challenges, risks, and dangers that could potentially complicate security situations, as well as other forms of crime and criminal offenses affecting citizen security, has been requested from several ministries within the Sarajevo Canton Government and judicial institutions.

A proposal of activities and measures to prevent or eliminate security threats or risks within the jurisdiction of these institutions has also been requested.

Requests have been sent to the Sarajevo Canton Government, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Youth of Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Transport of Sarajevo Canton, the Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, the Security Committee of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, the Independent Board of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, the Public Complaints Committee of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.
