Historic collapse of the Dragons in the final minutes that enters World Cup annals

(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team suffered a dramatic defeat against Switzerland at the World Cup, in a match that will be etched in the history of the tournament due to an incredible turn of events.

Although the final score of 4:1 suggests a convincing victory for Switzerland, they achieved it in an almost surreal manner – scoring all four goals after the 74th minute.

A match for the history books

Switzerland thus became the first team in World Cup history to score four goals in a single match after the 74th minute. Additionally, a record was set for the number of late goals – all five goals in the match were scored from the 74th minute until the end, something never before seen at the World Cup.

Collapse in the final stretch

Until the last twenty minutes of the match, Bosnia and Herzegovina was a completely equal opponent and had an active result. The "Dragons" kept the match under control for a long time and it seemed they could achieve a positive outcome against the group favorites.

However, a complete turnaround occurred in the final minutes. Switzerland capitalized on the drop in concentration of the Bosnian team and decided the match in their favor in a short period.

A heavy defeat ahead of the decisive round

The Bosnian team will particularly regret the period in which they were equal and in contention for points, but failed to withstand the pressure until the end. In the last round of the group stage, Bosnia and Herzegovina will need a win against Qatar to advance to the round of 16.
