Thousands of Zenica residents at Kamberović polje: Amel sang "Bosnom behar probeharao"

20:50 Bosnia and Herzegovina's best athlete Amel Tuka, a bronze medalist at the World Championships, arrived at Kamberović polje and ran a lap around the athletic track with the BiH flag. The audience greeted him with applause and chanting his name. Amel greeted everyone, shook hands, and a smile never left his face.

He addressed the attendees and asked for support for all athletes in BiH, and then, with fireworks, began the chorus of the song "Bosnom behar probeharao". More than 7,000 people sang along with him, and true happiness was visible on his face.

Now follows a short rest of a day or two, and then on September 11th, the final Diamond League meeting of this season awaits him in Brussels.

Kamberović polje stadium is slowly filling up for the reception of Bosnia and Herzegovina's best athlete Amel Tuka, who landed at Sarajevo Airport by plane at 7 PM, where he held a press conference, after which he headed towards Zenica, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Tuka ran the 800-meter race at the World Championships in Beijing with a time of 1:46.30.

Amel Tuka's name has entered the history of BiH sports, but he has also managed to secure his place among the most recognized athletes in the world.
