(Patria) - The funeral of the legendary Bosnian-Herzegovinian musician Halid Bešlić will be held at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque in Sarajevo.
His friends, family members, and citizens have gathered. Citizens are also already gathering at the cemetery.
The courtyard of the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque has been filled with Halid's admirers who have come from all the former Yugoslav countries, as well as from around the world. More than 30,000 people are expected to attend the funeral, but that number will likely be much higher.
After the funeral prayer at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, the mournful procession with the vehicle carrying the body of the BH singer will proceed through Ferhadija street and join the main street near the Eternal Flame. The mournful procession will continue towards Bare, and all citizens who wish to bid farewell to Halid Bešlić will be able to do so.
On the M18 highway, on the Vogošća - Bare section, due to the expected increase in vehicle traffic, temporary rerouting of heavy goods vehicles to alternative routes is possible.
Many citizens are also already arriving at Bare, where Halid will be buried at 3 PM. Police units are present nearby to ensure normal traffic flow.
In Jukićeva, Betanija, and Dejzina Bikića streets, depending on the assessment on the ground, traffic regulations will be temporarily changed, while in Alipašina street, from 12 PM to 5 PM, the movement of heavy goods vehicles will be prohibited, and they will be rerouted to alternative routes.
A tevhid for Halid Bešlić will be recited at the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque at 4 PM, after the afternoon prayer (ikindija-namaz).
