Thousands of refugees have crossed from Hungary into Austria, and on Saturday morning the Keleti railway station, where refugees had been staying in recent days, is almost empty, reports the Washington Post, as carried by the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Railway station workers are cleaning the area where the refugees had been staying.
Buses carrying refugees stopped at the very border with Austria, which they entered on foot. Austrian authorities temporarily opened the border to refugees.
A train carrying about 400 people departed for Vienna this morning, with more trains scheduled to depart during the day. The refugees are calm, but crowding occurs when buses arrive and when boarding the train.
The situation is occasionally chaotic due to a lack of readiness for cooperation from the Hungarian police. As a result, the Austrian police were forced to temporarily close the A-4 motorway three hours ago.
