Helez: I banned the landing of a Hungarian military aircraft, first in Sarajevo, then in Banja Luka

(Patria) - I refused to give consent for the overflight/landing of a military aircraft from Hungary in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Consent was requested for the landing of a military aircraft at the airport in Sarajevo, and then at the airport in Banja Luka, announced the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina Zukan Helez (SDP).

Why a military aircraft specifically needed to land at the airport in Banja Luka remains unclear, but in the context of the arrival of 70 members of the special anti-terrorist unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Hungary as support for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, it is certainly symptomatic at this time, Helez wrote on Facebook.

Zukan also states that the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, constantly provides support to the president of the smaller Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity, Milorad Dodik, in his attacks and undermining of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"I am deeply convinced that the arrival of the military aircraft from Hungary was aimed at providing some form of support to Milorad Dodik and the clique gathered around him in breaking up Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to the refusal to give consent for the aforementioned overflight/landing of the military aircraft, I have been subjected to immense pressure for the past 3 days, both from parts of the international community and from domestic brokers.

Nothing is more important than Bosnia and Herzegovina, neither me nor my position," he emphasized.

The Minister of Defense of BiH also says that those who know him know that there is no pressure before which he would falter and change his decision.

"Even, the greater the pressure, the more certain I am of my decision.

Given that the president of the smaller Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity, Milorad Dodik, constantly says that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a state, that Republika Srpska is a state, I ask why then a military aircraft did not land in Banja Luka for him," Helez stated.
