Helez: Ministers from the secessionist SNSD are trying to derogate BiH institutions, SIPA must not remain paralysed

(Patria) - Minister of Defence of BiH Zukan Helez (SDP BiH) spoke after today's attempt to hold a session of the Council of Ministers of BiH, which was not held due to a blockade by SNSD ministers Staša Košarac and Srđan Amidžić.

"Another unsuccessful attempt by ministers from the secessionist SNSD to derogate the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At today's session of the Council of Ministers, the Deputy Chair of the Council of Ministers of BiH, Staša Košarac, demanded that only the dismissal of the SIPA director be considered, without appointing an acting director of SIPA. I did not accept holding a session with such an agenda, and in the end the session was not held.

Dismissing the director, without appointing an acting director of SIPA, would leave this agency at this crucial moment without a management structure, in complete paralysis, and we must not allow that," Helez stated.

He said he would support the dismissal of Darko Ćulum from the position of SIPA director only if a lawful transfer of management of the State Investigation and Protection Agency is ensured to a candidate of high moral values who will work exclusively respecting the laws of this country.

After today's fiasco, the ministers from SNSD stated that SIPA does not interest them and that it does not exist for them, and that they were only interested in the dismissal of Ćulum, who no longer wishes to be in SIPA. Ćulum requested his dismissal effective March 19, and he is engaged in the RS Ministry of Interior.

Such a situation has not yet been recorded in security institutions, and apparently, the government, or what remains of it, has no way to resolve the issue of management structures in SIPA while part of the Council of Ministers disputes it.

On the other hand, the judiciary, which security agencies should assist in prosecuting those who undermine the state of BiH, disturb peace and security of citizens in BiH, also seems not up to the task of dealing with all those who threaten the foundations of BiH, the Constitution and the applicable laws of this country.
