HDZ's Mladen Bošković schedules session for January 22 due to non-functioning of working bodies of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament

(Patria) - Mladen Bošković (HDZ BiH), Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, has scheduled the 8th regular session of the House of Representatives of the PFBiH for January 22 at 11:00 AM. In his letter, Bošković claims that he issued the invitation under authorization and due to the unavailability of Speaker Mirjana Marinković Lepić, who earlier submitted her resignation from this position. However, formally she is still the Speaker.

The agenda includes two items: Information on the non-functioning of the working bodies of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, and Elections and Appointments.

The session of the Legislative-Legal Committee has been scheduled several times but was not held due to lack of quorum.

HDZ and its coalition partners are in a hurry to appoint Marin Vukoje as a judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH. However, before the official proposal reaches the Parliament, the Committee for Elections and Appointments must convene. Opposition parties believe that the entire list of successful candidates should be submitted to the Parliament, not just the name of Marin Vukoje, who is close to HDZ.

Regarding the Legislative-Legal Committee, HDZ and the parties of the "troika" have proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure that would be unfavorable to any opposition in the world, including that in the Federation of BiH.

In addition to the restrictions that would be introduced by the new Rules of Procedure, the goal is also to fill the working bodies through co-optation, which would pave the way for the Committee for Elections and Appointments to propose Marin Vukoje as HDZ's candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court of BiH.
