HDZ 1990 promised support to the Alliance for Change, but streets cannot bear the names of criminals

HDZ 1990 announced that it will support the candidate of the Alliance for Change in the upcoming municipal elections in Bosanski Šamac, provided the Alliance eliminates from its ranks those individuals who played a dishonorable role in the past war, writes the Patria agency.

HDZ 1990 also demands a concrete program for the return and reconstruction of returnee homes in Bosanski Šamac.

In a highly uncertain contest between the ruling SNSD and the opposition Alliance for Change, the role of HDZ 1990 is likely to tip the scales.

Ilija Cvitanović, acting president of HDZ 1990, said during a recent visit to Bosanski Šamac that it is unacceptable for a street in this town to bear the name of the criminal Draža Mihajlović. If the Alliance for Change wants the support of Croatian voters, such things will have to change, writes Patria.
