Hatibović claims protesters took his brandy and fuel from the trunk

At today's hearing for the first defendant Salem Hatibović and the second defendant Nihad Trnka in the case of the burning of the BiH Presidency building during the February 7 protests, which was arrested by the Federal Police Administration (FUP) based on photo documentation last week, the BiH Prosecutor's Office requested custody, while the defense of both the first and second defendants requested a restraining order.

Muhidin Kapo, the lawyer for Nihad Trnka, told the BiH Court that what his client did and admitted cannot be characterized as an act of terrorism.

- This could be characterized as an act of causing general danger or property damage. He is a young man, he has never had any conflict with the law, therefore I am optimistic that the court will not accept the request of the BiH Prosecutor's Office - said Kapo.

Senad Bilić, the lawyer for the first defendant Salem Hatibović, emphasized that his client did not admit to this act and that it is not shown anywhere in the photo documentation.

- My client only said that protesters stopped him in front of the BiH Presidency building at 5:15 PM and took a liter of brandy and a liter of gasoline from the trunk, which was intended for a chainsaw - stated Bilić.

The BiH Court will send a written decision by the end of the working day, which will reveal whether Hatibović and Trnka will be taken into custody.
