Hasečić: Every third police officer in the RS had blood on their hands during the aggression against BiH

Every third police officer currently working in the police of the BiH entity Republika Srpska had blood on their hands during the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s, the president of the Association „Woman Victim of War“ Bakira Hasečić claims for the BiH news agency Patria.

She explains that the criminals did not get jobs in the police or other security structures in Bosnia and Herzegovina just like that. It is about promised rewards from the RS authorities, who rewarded the criminals for killing and raping non-Serbs during the conflict in BiH.

- If you look at who these current police officers in the RS police are, you will see that before the conflict they either had no employment or worked less paid and less responsible jobs. After proving themselves in the war, they remained working in the police or other security structures of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Hasečić claims.

On Tuesday, SIPA arrested inspector Branislav Trišić, known as Brane, of the Intelligence-Security Agency OSA BiH in the area of Bijeljina, who is charged with war crimes from the 1990s.

The Patria news agency previously reported that the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo initiated pre-investigative actions against Jovica Mirosavljević, deputy commander of the special unit of the State Agency for Investigation and Protection of BiH (SIPA), for the criminal offense of war crimes.

The Mothers of Srebrenica and Podrinje have been demanding for months from the authorities that Jovan Ilić, head of the War Crimes Department at the SIPA Regional Office in Tuzla, be removed from this position, because he is on the list of participants in the Srebrenica genocide, compiled by a commission formed by the RS Government.

Radenko Stanić, who in 1992 was the police commander in Vlasenica, is today an employee of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, although he is charged with responsibility for the rape and killing of several dozen Bosniak girls, young women and women.

- These people still have a clear role in the security structures of BiH today, and that is to prevent the return to the RS through intimidation, primarily the return of Bosniaks – Hasečić claims. She says that the international community should also understand the weak return, for example to her native Višegrad, because a Bosniak cannot be safe in a city where the police commander is the criminal Zoran Uščumlić, writes Patria.
