Hasanović signed the instruction and secured BAM 600,000 for repeat elections in RS

(Patria) - I have signed the Instruction which enables the payment of funds in the amount of BAM 600,000.00 for the implementation of repeat early elections for the president of Republika Srpska, said the Deputy Minister of Finance of BiH Muhamed Hasanović.

We remind you that Minister Srđan Amidžić avoided signing the necessary decision so that the funds could be transferred to the Central Election Commission.

"The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a Decision on calling and holding repeat early elections on December 31, 2025, after which the Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH had a legally prescribed period of 15 days to sign the Instruction on securing and paying funds.

Given that the Instruction was not signed within the prescribed period by the Minister, today I exercised my legal right and signed the instruction. This sequence of events further confirms the correctness of the decision to remain in the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of preserving institutional stability and the unimpeded functioning of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.

By signing this Instruction, I acted in accordance with the law, responsibly towards institutions and citizens, with the aim of ensuring compliance with prescribed deadlines and the unimpeded implementation of the election process. Elections must not depend on the political will of individuals nor be subject to political calculations. Laws in Bosnia and Herzegovina apply to everyone, institutions must function and the democratic process must be protected without exception. I will act this way every time the law requires it," stated Hasanović.
