Hahn: It is time for the Western Balkans to join the EU

(Patria) - European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Johannes Hahn believes that the time has come to complete the process of European unification through the integration of the Western Balkans.

Hahn wrote this on his Twitter account on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the accession of ten Central and Eastern European countries to the EU, adding that it was an ambitious project based on "common efforts and a common vision to ensure peace, prosperity, and security for all EU citizens".

"This vision has come true, and it is time to look ahead and finalize the historic project of European unification by integrating the Western Balkans. I am sure that with joint efforts, this will be a success story for both sides. Together we are stronger," Hahn wrote.
