Hadžihafizbegović: The Dragons have done more for BiH than all politics to date

The Dragons have done more for Bosnia and Herzegovina since the aggression than all of BiH diplomacy – said Emir Hadžihafizbegović for the BiH news agency Patria.

The celebrated BiH actor is a great patriot, but also a passionate fan of the Dragons. Football, he says, is more than a game today. It is a sport because of which countries have gone to war, but also reconciled because of it.
It has also done a lot to reconcile people in BiH, and if the Dragons achieve a good result at the World Cup in Brazil, the atmosphere in the country will be much more favorable.

- After the deaths of Hasib, Vildan, and Almir, who were returning from a match in Lithuania last year, where they cheered on our national team, the Premier League BiH matches began with a minute of silence. But, the minute of silence did not only start the match in Sarajevo, but also the match played in Banja Luka and other BiH cities – said Hadžihafizbegović.

- Many overlooked this, but this detail tells me a lot – he says.

During the World Cup in Brazil, where the BiH national football team will perform for the first time, Hadžihafizbegović expects organized viewing of matches in Banja Luka, Mostar, Široki Brijeg, Sarajevo...

- When the referee signals the start of the first match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Argentina in Sao Paulo at the Maracanã stadium on June 15 at midnight our time, water will flow from the charity fountain in Vrnograč near Velika Kladuša, which Hadžihafizbegović built in memory of Hasib, Vildan, and Almir.

- I invite all citizens to join us that night in Vrnograč – said Hadžihafizbegović. The coach of all coaches, Miroslav Ćiro Blažević, has also announced his arrival at the opening of the charity fountain, writes Patria.
