Rudeness and mother-cursing are unforgivable: Džeko clashed with Pepe in 2011

The main news in the media in BiH, as well as the region, today is the reaction of Edin Džeko, captain of the BiH national football team, after Austrian footballer Aleksandar Dragović verbally attacked Muhamed Bešić in a friendly match between Austria and BiH, writes the Patria News Agency.

Namely, Muhamed Bešić made a fierce tackle on an Austrian player, and Aleksandar Dragović was the first to get involved in resolving the issue, physically assaulting Bešić, after which Džeko took matters into his own hands.

Džeko was most provoked by the fact that Dragović started cursing at Bešić in Bosnian, or rather Serbian, and during the match, he had fiercely fouled Džeko two or three times, which was enough for the captain to react the way he did. Dragović also cursed Bešić's mother, which Edin did not forgive, and it can be clearly read from his lips, "Who are you cursing the mother of?".

Immediately after the match, Dragović explained on his Facebook profile that this was all part of the game and that emotions cannot always be controlled. Džeko himself offered Dragović his hand, and today it is incomprehensible that Serbian media are trying to turn this story into a national incident, alluding that Dragović is of Serbian descent.

- Revolted by the serious foul by the Everton midfielder on his national teammate and the fact that he did not even want to apologize, Dragović got into a verbal confrontation with Bešić, to whom Džeko came to his aid. Džeko first verbally, and then physically, attacked the defender of Serbian descent, all the while telling him to go off the field and resolve the issue. Just like Džeko, Bešić also hurled a number of curses at the defender whose parents are from Grocka, writes Telegraf.

However, that Džeko does not care about the nationality of the opposing player is also shown by the "duel" he had in 2011 with the Portuguese Pepe, which was also reported by a large number of regional media.

Even then, it was clear, just as it is now, that Džeko does not tolerate injustice and reacts fiercely in defense of himself and his teammates on the field.
