SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Sarajevo derby between Željezničar and Sarajevo was postponed today due to snow, and the rules stipulate that the match must be played within 24 hours. The President of the Assembly of FK Željezničar, Adis Hadžić, believes this is impossible.
- We will send a request to the Competition Commission of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina (NSBiH) to postpone it - said Hadžić.
FK Sarajevo stated that they will respect any decision by the officials, regardless of whether the match is played tomorrow or a new date is set later.
- Given the numerous media inquiries, FK Sarajevo wishes to emphasize that our club is not the organizer of today's derby, which was postponed by the decision of the officials, and our club, as the guest, is obliged to respect the decision of the officials, the Competition Commission of NSBiH, in accordance with the NSBiH regulations regarding the new match date - FK Sarajevo announced.
Incidentally, the Grbavica stadium is in very poor condition after first rain and then snow fell.
- Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the main referee of the match, based on the BHT PL 2017/18 Regulations, decided that the match be postponed until tomorrow (27 November 2017) at 1:00 PM - the NSBiH stated.
