(Patria) - Tomorrow marks the 21st birthday of the BiH Coat of Arms. The current Coat of Arms of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted on May 20, 1998, and is based on the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Coat of Arms consists of a pointed blue shield, with a golden triangle in its upper right corner, and parallel to the left side (hypotenuse) of the triangle, from the top to the bottom edge, there are seven silver rising stars. The Coat of Arms is an integral part of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina and a symbol of its historical and state continuity in new, changed social circumstances. It came into effect as a state symbol on February 4, 1998, replacing the then Coat of Arms of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina with lilies, which remained rooted as a national symbol of Bosniaks.
