
(Patria) - The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued an official statement following yesterday's information provided by the official authorities of the Republic of Croatia regarding a possible attack on border crossings in BiH, which was supposed to occur on January 7.
The Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, after receiving information from the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia about a possible attack on border crossings in BiH, determined that the information was untrue.
"Namely, immediately after receiving the information, the Border Police of BiH, in cooperation with other security agencies, took all measures and actions and intensified work on the ground, engaging additional human resources and material-technical means. At the same time, in accordance with procedures, all activities were undertaken to verify the accuracy of the information, as well as operational-tactical activities on the ground.
After all the measures and actions taken, in cooperation with other security agencies, it was determined that the information was inaccurate.
The Border Police of BiH thanks all BiH law enforcement agencies and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Croatia for the swift, efficient, and professional cooperation, and this case confirms that information exchange and cooperation are of key importance for the institutional verification of all potential claims and the suppression of all possible threats," the statement said.
The Border Police of BiH is ready to face all challenges and continues to invest all its human resources and material-technical capacities in protecting the state border and is determined to take all available measures and actions to suppress all forms of cross-border crime, illegal migration, and other threats, both independently and in cooperation with competent institutions, all with the aim of creating a safe environment for all citizens in BiH.
