City Council Adopts Program for Erecting Monuments of Significance for Sarajevo

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Sarajevo City Council adopted at its session on Wednesday the Program for Erecting Monuments of Significance for the City of Sarajevo, for which the City of Sarajevo is the investor for 2019, which was proposed after a public hearing.

The Sarajevo City Council was submitted for consideration the Report on the Use of Current Reserve Funds, which the City Council also adopted, and from which it is evident that the mayor directed the current reserve funds for prescribed purposes, the Sarajevo City Administration announced.

At today's session, city councilors considered the Draft Decision on the Adoption of the Regulatory Plan "Švrakino Selo - Mlakve" with the Draft Decision on the Implementation of the Regulatory Plan "Švrakino Selo - Mlakve", and the Draft Decision on the Adoption of the Regulatory Plan "Reljevo" with the Draft Decision on the Implementation of the Regulatory Plan "Reljevo", and, by conclusion, referred them to a 30-day public hearing.

Subsequently, the Information on the Framework Budget Document for the period 2020-2022, and the Information on the Implementation of Councilor Questions and Initiatives for the current year were taken note of.

At the proposal of the mayor, under urgent procedure, the Proposal for a Decision on Amendments to the Decision on the Allocation of Financial Resources from the Net Profit of the Public Enterprise for Management, Protection and Maintenance of Facilities of the City of Sarajevo and Performance of Utility and Other Activities of Public Interest of the City of Sarajevo (PE "Sarajevo" Ltd.) was included in the agenda of today's session.

After discussion, this decision was not adopted.

At the end, certain councilor questions were raised and initiatives were launched. Thus, among others, city councilor Velija Katica submitted an initiative instructing the mayor to, in accordance with positive legal regulations, consider the possibility of financial assistance for the defense of officers of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina and officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina against whom court proceedings are being conducted before the judicial authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This initiative was adopted, and thus became an initiative of the City Council.
