(Patria) - The mayor of Canada's largest city, Toronto, Olivia Chow, congratulated on Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day.
Among other things, the mayor wrote: "I extend a warm welcome to all those attending events marking Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day. This is an opportunity to recognize the numerous, valued contributions of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian community in Toronto. The Bosnian-Herzegovinian community makes a strong contribution to the rich cultural, economic, social, and political diversity in our society and is an important part of our city's motto 'Diversity Our Strength.' On behalf of the City of Toronto, please accept my best wishes for Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day and continue your successful work”.
The central Canadian academy on the occasion of November 25, Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day, was held in Toronto on Saturday, November 17, 2024. Dr. Emir Ramić and Daniela Čolić, advisor at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Canada, addressed the academy.
Canada's largest city and one of the world's most important political, economic, and academic centers thus pays tribute to Bosnia and Herzegovina, providing the best response to the deniers of Statehood Day and deniers of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian state, it was announced from the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada.
