Mayor Karić asks association 'Dečki u plavom' to cancel cooperation with Kabiri for the upcoming Sarajevo Marathon

(Patria) - Sarajevo Mayor Benjamina Karić addressed the public on social media on Sunday evening, calling on the association "Dečki u plavom" to cancel cooperation with MTA Abraham Group of Amir Gross Kabiri for the upcoming Sarajevo Marathon, which will be held on May 12.

"The association had the support of the City of Sarajevo, and my husband and I gladly participated in the races they organized. After the threats and horror my family endured due to Mr. Kabiri, all because of sincere support for the Palestinian people, I feel the need to call on the association Dečki u plavom to seek an official partner elsewhere, and for all of us to help them in that.

We must not allow anyone to buy our dignity with money! Dignity has no price and is not for sale!

The marathon is otherwise co-financed with the participation of the canton, city, municipalities, tourist board and many other sponsors, and I am sure that together with our socially responsible companies we can jointly carry out this project without a sponsor like MTA Abraham Group; otherwise, I will do what is within my power - urgently initiate a review of the use of the name of the City of Sarajevo and the financial support provided by the City," Karić stated.
