Citizens accommodated at Bjelave want to spend the second part of their 28-day quarantine at home

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – As of March 27, 131 people have been accommodated at the "Bjelave" Student Dormitory, for whom the Federal Ministry of Health has issued decisions and ordered a quarantine of 28 days.

The first 18 passengers who returned from Italy have been staying at the dormitory since March 27. The first test showed that all of them were negative for coronavirus, and after a letter from several passengers to the competent institutions, they were tested again on Friday evening.

A group of passengers who returned from Sweden has been accommodated at the Bjelave Student Dormitory since April 5. To date, they have not been tested, nor do they have information on whether they will be tested.

More information about the people accommodated at the Bjelave dormitory and the procedures they are undergoing should be provided today at a press conference by Aida Pilav, president of the Sarajevo Canton Crisis Staff, to whom questions have been directed.

Some of the citizens accommodated at the dormitory are not coping well with isolation, and they are asking the authorities if there is a possibility for them to spend the rest of their isolation at their homes, given that they have been there for more than 15 days and have no symptoms.

Citizens who were found not to be at their addresses on multiple occasions, and for whom isolation measures were ordered, are also accommodated in the Student Dormitory. Also, since April 10, citizens entering BiH are being directed here, according to their place of residence. After the capacity of this dormitory is filled, all others will be accommodated in quarantine at the Student Dormitory in Nedžarići.
