Gradačac Fair: 18 Medals Awarded for Product Quality

On the second day of the 42nd International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry in Gradačac, 18 medals were awarded for the quality of exhibited products and three special recognitions for the quality of assessed brandies, liqueurs and strong alcoholic beverages, reports the Patria news agency.

After samples for organoleptic quality assessment were submitted to the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo and evaluations were carried out by an expert commission, 14 gold and four silver medals were awarded for the quality of exhibited products.

The gold medals were presented by the director of the Gradačac Fair, Hašim Šabanović, and the silver medals by Prof. Dr. Nermina Spaho, chairwoman of the Commission for Quality Assessment of Exhibited Products.

The Gradačac Fair also awarded three special recognitions - Grand Medals for the quality of strong alcoholic beverages. The medals were presented by Mirjana Mišić, director of the Agricultural Holding and Distillery “Krušik”.

At the agricultural holding in the Distillery “Krušik”, an expert commission, whose members are from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo and the Faculty of Agriculture in Zemun, evaluated 112 samples of strong alcoholic beverages. Recognitions for the best brandies, liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages will be presented at the pear orchard after a professional advisory meeting, the Fair's Press Office announced.
