Grabovica: Unblocking Elektroprenos means progress for BiH

Elvedin Grabovica, director of "Elektroprivreda BiH", told the BiH news agency Patria (NAP) that the new law on Elektroprenos, which was adopted yesterday by the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, will bring stability to the entire energy sector, as well as new investments in this important economic branch of the country.

- For seven or eight years, we had a blockade of Elektroprenos. No investments were made in equipment, the network was not built. Not even a screw was bought for years. The malfunctioning of this system jeopardized the survival of the entire energy system. Now I hope that this has been overcome and that we will see progress very soon – Grabovica told NAP.

He also added that the final launch of Elektroprenos will significantly benefit the work of Elektroprivreda BiH itself.

- We hope that a certain number of substations and lines that are under the jurisdiction of Elektroprenos, and which were missing for us, will now start to be built. I absolutely expect progress in the entire energy sector – said Grabovica.
