GOŠK better than Željezničar, the 'Blues' closer to relegation spot

(Patria) - In the derby of the lower part of the table in the 18th round of our country's Premier League, GOŠK and Željezničar faced each other today in Gabela, and in the end, it finished 1:0 for the hosts who thus secured golden three points.

After the first half, it was 0:0, although GOŠK showed more and had a player advantage from the 34th minute. Čajić threatened for the hosts in the third minute, and then in the seventh minute, there was a chance for Šuta, but it went wide. In the tenth minute, there was a chance for Mihaljević, but Željezničar's goalkeeper Muftić saved.

After that, it was quiet until the 34th minute when, after a duel between Šero and Galić, a visiting player received a direct red card from referee Miloš Gigović. In the 38th minute, Željezničar practically 'looked' towards the opponent's goal for the first time.

Mekić had a chance, he escaped the home goalkeeper, but went too far to the side, and the opportunity for the 'Blues' from Grbavica to take the lead in this match was missed.

Željezničar had great support from the fans who were singing, but it didn't help the 'Blues' who appeared uninspired and sluggish, as they have been for the last ten rounds.

In the 50th minute, Drljo had a chance, but shot poorly, only for Mihaljević to respond, who escaped Kosorić, but goalkeeper Muftić followed well and stopped him. In the 59th minute, Skorup shot from a good position, Šehić blocked and cleared for a corner.

After the corner, Šero shot, but Muftić was safe again. After that, Bradara also tried, but it went slightly over Željezničar's goal.

A few minutes later, Drljo had a chance for Željezničar, he went towards the goal alone, but made a complete mess of it and definitively showed that he is in terrible form, and everyone at Grbavica agrees that he has not justified the title of reinforcement, quite the opposite. In the 71st minute, the best chance for Željezničar. Ovčina passed to Krpić, who went out alone against Bobić, but the GOŠK goalkeeper saved and the ball went into a corner.

Krpić should have done much better, and it's no wonder that Željezničar fans were disappointed by the move of their club's captain.

In the 82nd minute, a great chance for Šero, he found himself brilliantly in front of the goal, but shot just wide of the visitors' post. Al Jaber responded and could have celebrated, but Bobić saved.

In the 87th minute, Esmir Hasukić scored the goal for the hosts with a header, assisted by Čoko. GOŠK thus celebrated and now has 19 points, as do FK Željezničar and FK Tuzla City. Igman has 18 and will visit Velež tomorrow, while last-placed Zvijezda 09 hosts Široki Brijeg. If Igman wins in Mostar, Željezničar will move to the position that currently leads to the lower league.
