Anniversary of the murder of three people in Gradačac: Peaceful protest by citizens today

(Patria) - Today marks one year since the crime when Nermin Sulejmanović brutally beat and then killed his common-law wife Nizama Hećimović, broadcasting it all live on social media, and then killed father and son Džengiz and Denis Onder. On this occasion, peaceful protests will be held in this city today.

“Let us remember our fellow citizen Nizama Hećimović, fellow citizens Denis and Džengiz Onder, as well as Tahira Čamdžić, Aida Dendić, Emira Maslan, Amra Kahrimanović, Selma Baluković, Halida Smajić, Mileva Andrić, Amela Čičkušić and her two minor children, Nermina Krajina… Together, let us show that we are against all forms of violence,” say the organizers from the Youth Association “Futura” Međiđa Donja and the Informal Group of Female and Male Citizens of Gradačac.

Activities marking the anniversary of the murders in Gradačac will last throughout the day, with the central gathering at 4:00 PM, while a peaceful walk through the city is planned for 4:30 PM.

Let us recall, Nermin Sulejmanović (35) from Gradačac killed his ex-wife while broadcasting the murder live on Instagram, and two other people, and wounded three, in the area of this city on August 11, 2023. Sulejmanović committed suicide.
