Annual public transport ticket on sale from July 4, priced at 550 KM

(Patria) - With the introduction of new public transport service prices, the Government of Sarajevo Canton announces a 365-day ticket - an annual ticket for all lines.

New public transport prices have come into effect in order to preserve a stable, sustainable, and quality transport system.

Sarajevo is introducing a new annual ticket price, which is 216 KM cheaper. The new annual ticket price is 550, which means 45.8 KM per month, and 1.50 KM per day. Previously, the price of this ticket was 766 KM.

In practice, this decision will most benefit the over 150,000 employees in Sarajevo Canton, as the annual ticket has been significantly cheaper for other categories for a long time, or transport is free.

Citizens will be able to use this ticket, for which they will pay 1.50 KM per day, for 365 days, 24/7, on 120 public transport lines, which cover 12 million kilometers annually.

This decision is modeled after other European cities that have introduced such a ticket system, which has proven to be of high quality.

It is important to note that the annual ticket will not have the user's name and surname printed on it, thus allowing different household members to use the ticket at different times if needed. The annual ticket will be valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

The annual ticket will be on sale from July 4 this year and can be purchased from carriers. A ticket purchased from one carrier will also be valid with another carrier.
