Gljiva: 'Be like Halid', your kindness deserves it

(Patria) - Today, a commemoration began at the National Theatre in Sarajevo on the occasion of the death of the legendary BiH singer Halid Bešlić, who passed away on Tuesday, October 7.

Nazif Gljiva, a long-time friend of Halid Bešlić, told those present that he had known him for more than 50 years and that they had given everything they had:
"Good people are sending you off like no one before. You have fulfilled your mission in this world, so God will reward you with the beauties of paradise.

People sing, then they grieve. Maybe you didn't know you had such good friends. Be like Halid – these will be the words of the future, and you deserved it with your kindness."

The commemoration is a continuation of a series of emotional addresses, including Lamija, Halid's granddaughter, and Emir Hadžiahmetović, an actor and friend of the singer, who recalled his contribution to music, humanitarian work, and a life without prejudice.
