UN Security Council Session on BiH: Christian Schmidt and Denis Bećirović Address the Council

(Patria) - The United Nations Security Council is currently holding its regular, semi-annual session on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The report is being presented by outgoing High Representative Christian Schmidt, and the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, will also address the council.

In his report, Schmidt defines the key challenges in the country and states that the overall security situation is stable but fragile.

He notes the stagnation on the European path, disagreements over state property, and a negative narrative about Bosniaks.

On the other hand, the Government of Republika Srpska has also submitted an informal report dominated by anti-Dayton narratives and accusations against the High Representative.
