Main Sarajevo promenades and sidewalks still being cleared today, municipalities seek additional workers

(Patria) - It is the fourth day since Sarajevo has been under a blanket of snow. The main Sarajevo promenades have still not been cleared, and today we saw a mini snowplow clearing snow in Marshal Tito Street.

Owners and tenants of business premises have cleared the area in front of their shops and spread salt.

Part of the sidewalks and promenades used by pedestrians are still not sufficiently cleared, and new precipitation has been announced.

Special caution is advised due to icicles on roofs and snow that may fall on passersby.

Public city transport over the past few days has been operating with difficulties and interruptions. This was also the case this morning when tram service ran only to the Railway Station, and shortly before 11 a.m. the Ilidža-Baščaršija line was normalized.

Although we saw several employees of KJKP Rad with shovels, municipalities are seeking additional personnel to help with snow clearing.

Although the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs ordered transport companies GRAS and Centrotrans to clean the stops, the tram stop near the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina is under ice and snow, over which passengers board the tram.
