(Patria) – Greece's newly elected conservative government won a vote of confidence for its proposed new economic policy, which includes tax cuts and better conditions for investment.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his New Democracy party, which convincingly won the early elections on July 7, announced tax cuts and economic growth.
Mitsotakis promised that the new government would reduce poverty and income taxes, as well as implement reforms in public administration to remove bureaucratic obstacles to investment.
Euronews reports that all 158 lawmakers of the ruling conservative party in the 300-seat parliament voted in favor of the proposed new policy.
