(Patria) - The girl Ella Jovanović (17), who was seriously injured in a horrific tram accident that occurred on February 12 in Sarajevo, is under constant supervision of the medical team at the General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš". Ismet Gavrankapetanović, director of that health institution, shared the latest news regarding her health condition with N1.
"The patient is clinically more stable, but still requires intensive treatment in the Department of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Therapy, along with continued early rehabilitation," said Gavrankapetanović.
Let's recall that Jovanović had her leg amputated after the tram accident, and her life was endangered, leading to her being placed in an induced coma, from which doctors at the General Hospital gradually woke her up three days ago.
Protests by youth and students, joined by citizens, have been ongoing since Friday, February 13. The procession heads from the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards the General Hospital to show support for the injured girl. A gathering is scheduled again today, but there will be no procession in front of the General Hospital so as not to disturb other patients.
