FUP will not remain headless: Nurudin Hafizović can lead the police

(Patria) - The Federal Police Administration (FUP) will not remain headless if acting director Vahidin Munjić is arrested as part of the Black Tie 2 operation.

The FBiH Government will certainly appoint a person to replace Munjić, and for now, it should be Nurudin Hafizović, the chief inspector who will take over the leadership of the FUP in Munjić's absence.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the FBiH, Ramo Isak, commented on today's "Black Tie 2" operation, which is being carried out in several cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Namely, it is known that the premises of acting director Vahidin Munjić are also being searched.

"The institution will continue to function. No one should question the work and functioning of this institution. FUP is a key security factor and must not be jeopardized. The institution must function and will function - said Isak.

Otherwise, police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) are today carrying out the operational action "BLACK TIE 2" in the areas of Sarajevo, Zenica, and Mostar, within which searches are being conducted at several locations.

The targets of the operation are several suspected natural and legal persons, and among the arrested are high-ranking officials of police agencies and law enforcement institutions. Evidence from encrypted applications has been collected within the case.
