SFK 2000 Women's Football Club Wins Fifteenth Consecutive BiH Championship Title

Yesterday's matches of the 20th round concluded the competition in the Premier Women's Football League of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the 2016/17 season. The national championship title was previously secured by the players of SFK 2000 Sarajevo, who yesterday defeated Iskra from Bugojno with a score of 3:0 at the FK Sarajevo Training Center in Butmir.

Alisa Spahić, Aida Hadžić, and Mejrema Medić scored for SFK 2000 Sarajevo's new victory. After the match, a trophy and medal ceremony was held, and the SFK 2000 Sarajevo players achieved a great performance this season. On their way to their fifteenth consecutive BiH championship title, Samira Hurem's team achieved 20 wins in as many matches, with a goal difference of 145:2.

- I congratulate the players, they deserve the most credit for this. We wanted that fifteenth title. I am glad that we played well throughout the season. We will continue to work in the same way, to achieve success. I also thank the FF BH, FK Sarajevo, and everyone who helps us be who we are - stated Hurem.

- This is the fifteenth time this club has won the title, and I think it is an incredible achievement. A lot of work and effort over all these years is paying off. Many say we have no competition, but that is not true. Behind our successes lies hard work and daily training. That is why we are dominant, and the results we have achieved in Europe show that we are on the right track. I congratulate all the teams that participated in the PŽL this year, the quality has truly improved, and we look forward to the next season - added SFK 2000 Sarajevo player, Azra Numanović.

SFK 2000 Sarajevo will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UEFA Champions League, where they achieved great success last year.
