FK Željezničar players started preparations for the new season

FK Željezničar players, led by the professional staff, started preparations for the current season with a morning training session, reports Patria agency. 

After yesterday's medical examinations at Atrijum Polyclinic, the professional staff held a roll call this morning, and afterwards, the players ran their first training session of the season. Those who responded to the roll call were: Vedran Kjosevski, Irfan Fejzić, Adnan Bobić – Siniša Stevanović, Jadranko Bogičević, Daniel Graovac, Kemal Osmanković, Tarik Džindo, Srđan Stanić, Amar Beširević – Dino Hasanović, Darko Marković, Jovan Blagojević, Samir Bekrić, Uglješa Radinović, Anel Šabanadžović, Haris Hajdarević, Goran Zakarić, Ivan Crnov, Aldin Hrvanović, Zajko Zeba, Denis Žerić – Ivan Lendrić, Stevo Nikolić, Dženan Zajmović.

- We are aware of who has left the team, so we are acting and working on those positions. We are working at full speed and hope that Željo will have a good team. Zajmović and Graovac have arrived, there will be more arrivals, but it is important that we know what we want. Our priority is the centre-back position, we are working on left-back. Miroslav Stevanović has left, so we need a player there too. However, when a good player appears, regardless of whether we have someone in that position, we must act - said the sports director of the Blues, Aldin Čenan.

Čenan emphasized that Ivan Lendrić is still a member of the Club.

- Lendrić is our player, but people in the club are working on finding him an overseas engagement. We have several options and I hope we will succeed in doing that. Besides him, we have several other calls for our players, but I wouldn't mention names.

Several juniors will travel with the first team

- Fans expect younger players, and we are also aware that Željo is a breeding ground for talent, so we decided that Aldin Hrvanović, Haris Hajdarević, Anel Šabanadžović, and Tarik Džindo will go to Kupres. The issue of young players is being emphasized, we have a good youth academy, so we planned to sign contracts with these juniors, not just to be a number, but for some of them to get

First team player Zajko Zeba, in his address to journalists, expressed his hope that everyone will be ready for the first European match.

- We have gathered, we have come rested, what was is behind us. New goals are ahead of us and we are going towards new victories. Ten days of rest, especially mentally, was good for us because we know what kind of season we had behind us. The break is not long, we are all in training, I hope we will be ready for the first European match. It is too early to talk about expectations, Europe is ahead of us. We will try to go as far as we can, it all depends on the draw and which teams we get. We will know more in the next seven days - said Zajko Zeba.

FK Željezničar will train in Sarajevo until Thursday, when the departure to Kupres is planned. In Kupres, the Blues will play a preparatory match against Krupa on June 19, and the general rehearsal before the first European League matches is scheduled for June 23 against Široki Brijeg. The match will be played in Tomislavgrad.
