MOSTAR, (Patria) - Another season in the First League of the Federation of BiH has ended.
Velež ended the season in the best possible way with a 4:2 victory against Igman in Mostar, from where they move to the Premier League of BiH as first in the standings, after being relegated to a lower competition tier in 2016.
After the final whistle, a great celebration ensued in Mostar, and the stadium was 'boiling' when the Velež players lifted the trophy for the champions of the First League of FBiH, writes Sportske.ba
Velež's best and most important player this season was Nusmir Fajić, who scored three goals against Igman tonight.
Velež's greatest player in the club's history, Dušan Bajević, said that Velež is the only club he loves.
"Velež means a lot to us from Mostar. We love it to the end. This picture says it all. Velež is a symbol of Mostar, and the Old Bridge and BiH and this region cannot do without it," he said.
Numerous public figures from BiH and the region supported the iconic Mostar club today, writes NAP.
