Football players of Sarajevo started preparations for the spring part of the championship

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The one-month break for the football players of Sarajevo has officially ended. The coach of the "Bordo" team, Husref Musemić, held a roll call at the Butmir training camp.

Velkoski, Pavlović, Ivetić, Hodžić, Mihojević, and Novaković did not appear at today's roll call, as they were granted an additional day off due to the holidays and will join the team tomorrow. Advan Kadušić and Nermin Crnkić left the team during the break. Mersudin Ahmetović extended his contract this morning, and the good news is also the stay of Elvis Sarić, who remained despite an offer from Poland.

Husref Musemić has given free rein to two experienced players, Saša Novaković and Perica Ivetić, to find new clubs.

Namely, their contracts expire at the end of this season, and Musemić decided that he does not need them in the continuation of the championship.

Sarajevo will train in Butmir in the coming days, followed by a trip to Čitluk, and the final part of the preparations will take place in Turkey. In Čitluk, the "Bordo" team will play two friendly matches against Velež and GOŠK.

- We want to be better this year than last year. We will see how successful we are. There were good results, turbulent ones, strange ones. The loss in the Cup final, then elimination by Mladost in the Cup this season. It is up to us to work and try to do better. Šofranac will come to Sarajevo today, and will be at training tomorrow. We are trying to find what we need the most, we will not rush - said Musemić, and then added:

- What I will tell the players is that everyone must work well, but not everyone can play. Their job is to work well, ours is to choose who will play. Everything is possible until the end. Every match in the "Liga 6" is high-quality and uncertain, we will certainly need a larger number of players. I would like to win the title, but what is realistic is another matter. Qualifying for Europe would be the fulfillment of one of the set goals. We will reduce the number of players to 25, and we have promoted two juniors, Mustafić and Šabanović.

After 18 rounds played, the Sarajevo-based premier league team is third in the standings with 35 points, six less than the leader Željezničar. Sarajevo will open the continuation of the season with an away match at Pecara, against the team of Široki Brijeg. That match is scheduled for February 19.
