Bosna Union footballers advance to second round of the Federation of BiH Cup

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The matches of the First Round of the Cup of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were played on Wednesday.

Advancing to the second round are Kiseljak, Bosna Union from Sarajevo, Famos from Hrasnica, Mladost from Kikači, Budućnost from Banovići, Klis from Buturović Polje, as well as Moševac and Pobjeda Tešanjka, who advanced directly to the second round by draw.

Football club Bosna Union defeated HNK Neum 3:2 away in yesterday's First Round match of the FBiH Cup, thus securing passage to the further part of the competition.

Scorers for FK Bosna Union were Muamer Torlak twice and Mustafa Mujić.

The club emphasizes the importance of promoting young players, as shown by yesterday's match in which they had 16 players under the age of 21, which also fulfills the club's vision and effort to engage as many players as possible from its own youth academy.

- We consider the Cup competition extremely important, and in yesterday's match we aimed to advance, and we go into the next round with the same goal. It is important to mention that during our existence, we have been winners of the Sarajevo Canton Cup three times, and two seasons ago we played in the quarterfinals of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup.

The Cup match is behind us, and we are turning to the next round of the Second League of FBiH, which will be played on Saturday at Koševo, where we host the team Zenica City at 4:30 PM. As in every match, we motivate our players for good football and victory with fair and sportsmanlike conduct - stated Elmedin Branković, sports director of FK Bosna Union, for the Patria agency.

In addition to the mentioned clubs, the following also play in the second round of the Federation of BiH Cup: NK „Bosna“ Visoko, NK „Bratstvo“ Gračanica, HNK „Čapljina“, FK „Goražde“, FK „Igman“ Konjic, NK „Jedinstvo“ Bihać, NK „Metalleghe BSI“ Jajce, NK „Novi Travnik“, FK „Olimpik“ Sarajevo, HNK „Orašje“, FK „Rudar“ Kakanj, NK „Slaven“ Živinice, NK „Tošk“ Tešanj, FK „Velež“ Mostar, NK „Vitez“ and NK „Zvijezda“ Gradačac.

The draw for the pairs of the second round of the Federation of BiH Cup will be held on Wednesday, September 5, and the matches of the second round will be played on September 12 at 4:00 PM.
