Zvijezda 09 footballer Nemanja Vejnović reported for match-fixing

BIJELJINA, (Patria) - Police officers of the Bijeljina Police Administration submitted on Monday to the District Public Prosecutor's Office in Bijeljina a report on the existence of reasonable suspicion against N.V., born in 1992 in Novi Grad.

The report states that N.V. committed the extended criminal offense of "Match-fixing". The report states that N.V. is employed as a footballer in the Football Club "Zvijezda 09" Etno Selo Stanišić, Bijeljina.

- The accused is charged with, as a footballer of the football club "Zvijezda 09" Etno Selo Stanišić, on several occasions offering money to his teammates, personally and via messages sent through the "Viber" application, in order for them not to give their maximum effort in a match or, if goalkeepers were involved, to concede a certain number of goals in one half or during the entire match, concerning matches that "Zvijezda 09" played within the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Based on this, the reported person obtained illegal property gain and committed the criminal offense he is charged with - stated the Ministry of Interior of Republika Srpska.

The president of Zvijezda 09, Boris Stanišić, recently publicly accused his players of playing for the betting shop, and in the end only Nemanja Vejnović was reported to the Prosecutor's Office.
