
(Patria) - The new head coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina women's cadet handball national team is Fuad Mahmutović.
Fuad Mahmutović was born on 21 August 1966, and has been involved in coaching since 1997. For five years he led MRK Sloga (Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje), and then from 2003 to 2006, ŽRK Iskra from Bugojno.
After that, from 2007 to 2015, he was the head coach of the first team of MRK Sloga Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje: from 2016 to 2019, he was the head coach of MRK Iskra Bugojno and with this team he won first place in the First League of the Federation, and led them into the elite rank of BH handball.
Since 2019, he has been the head coach of the first team of ŽRK Sloga Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje. In addition to leading MRK Iskra into the Premier League, Mahmutović became the champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2021 with the younger cadets of ŽRK Sloga (GV/U), and last year he was vice-champion in the same category.
With the juniors of Sloga, he won third place in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2021, and last year he led the senior team of Sloga into the BH Telecom Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year, with the junior team of Sloga, he took 3rd place in the championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mahmutović will lead our cadet selection at the EHF W17 Championship, which will be played from 5 to 13 August in Azerbaijan. We remind you, our selection is in Group A with Slovenia, Lithuania, Georgia and the host Azerbaijan.
