New information about the tragedy that occurred over the French Alps, when 28-year-old co-pilot Andreas Lubitz crashed the plane with 149 passengers, continues to arrive.
French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has demanded that Lufthansa publicly release all possible information "so that the public can understand how the pilot came to commit that horrific act," writes the Telegraph, as reported by the Patria news agency.
Valls emphasised that all lines of investigation should be examined.
-In principle, no line of investigation should be excluded. We must wait for the investigation to conclude. Justice owes the victims and their families the truth, despite the fact that yesterday the prosecutor disclosed a large amount of details, indicating that behind the tragedy lies a mad, incomparable and horrifying act, Valls said.
-Everything points to that act which we are unable to describe - is it criminal, mad, suicidal? How can we even imagine that a pilot, in whom passengers have complete trust, and who is a hero to many people, could do something like that? Who hasn't dreamed of becoming a pilot? And then a pilot crashes a plane into a mountain, after preventing his colleague from returning to the cockpit, he added with horror.
He stressed that rescue teams will continue working to transfer the bodies of the deceased passengers to designated locations, so that their families can pay their due respects.
