SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Edin Forto hosted the regional Minister of the Government of Catalonia for Foreign Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency, Alfred Bosch, today, with whom he discussed future joint projects. The meeting was attended by the Ministers of Finance and Economy, Amel Kovačević and Haris Bašić, it was announced from the KS Government.
On this occasion, Bosch pointed out that Sarajevo has been developing intensively in recent years, especially in the field of tourism, and offered to start negotiations with the Government of the Canton on the reconstruction of the bobsleigh track on Trebević, which needs to be restored to its former glory. This will be, as he emphasized, a new brand for Sarajevo.

It was announced that Barcelona will bid for the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, and on that occasion, it was also proposed that Sarajevo join that bid.
“There are few European cities where the mountains are close to the city, and I am especially thinking of Trebević, which has a beautiful view of Sarajevo, and which holds special emotions for us,” said Bosch.
Prime Minister Forto emphasized that this is an excellent proposal and that the cantonal government had planned to start the renovation of the bobsleigh track, as it has become a symbol of our city after the Winter Olympic Games held in Sarajevo.
The intensification of cultural cooperation was discussed, as new theatre performances are constantly being staged in Barcelona, as well as in Sarajevo, which is why everyone agreed that it needs to be improved, according to the statement from the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
