(Patria) - State Minister of Communications and Transport Edin Forto today demanded that the FBiH Government dismiss the director of the public company Railways FBiH, Enis Džafić.
"The director is hiding behind the Federation Government. The money won't be a problem, the problem is the delay. In 10 days, you have consumed all of the annual profit. It is time to react and I demand that the FBiH Government dismiss the director," Forto stated.
He also conveyed that he had a meeting with businessmen who were "almost crying" during the meeting.
He also stated that they offered to finance the reconstruction of the railway line, but the director of Railways FBiH, Enis Džafić, did not respond to them. He could not answer the question of whether he was aware that the businessmen would seek the return of the invested funds. Overall, Minister Forto's appearance is based on claims that the management of Railways FBiH is dragging its feet and not doing its job.
“Money is not the problem, waiting is the most expensive. That is why I am reacting this way. This is a catastrophe,” said Forto, without answering questions about his own responsibility.
He did not even comment on the slowness of the relevant minister Andrijana Katić (HDZ), who received the letter from the Motorways, but never responded, nor did the Government consider the letter.
Forto said that the conclusion of the FBiH Government was that the Motorways should try to find funds for reconstruction, but not to lead the rehabilitation project.
He also pointed out that a number of renowned design firms offered to do the railway line reconstruction project for free. The Minister of Transport stated that he expects strong reactions, but that he knows what he is talking about.
