(Patria) - The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has filed cases concerning the sale of state land on Jahorina and a secessionist group working on the secession of the RS.
The Jahorina Case
That the Prosecutor's Office of BiH has filed a case regarding the sale of state land on Jahorina is reported by Radio Free Europe (RFE).
"When a prosecutorial decision is made, the public will be informed," they said today from the Prosecutor's Office for RFE.
Previously, the Court of BiH issued a temporary measure prohibiting the BiH entity of the RS from carrying out investment works and clearing forest at the location Vučiji most, in the area of Mount Jahorina.
The decision was made on December 30 last year, at the proposal of the Attorney's Office of BiH as the legal representative of BiH, confirmed by the Court on January 9.
The non-final decision, as stated, temporarily prohibits investment works and forest clearing at the location Vučiji most, in accordance with the regulatory plan of the special area Jahorina at the location Vučiji most.
As stated, the measure applies to land covered by the decision of the Government of the RS on the sale, by public auction, of land within the special area Jahorina.
The temporary measure of the Court of BiH will remain in effect until the final conclusion of the litigation proceedings based on the lawsuit of the Attorney's Office of BiH.
The Government of the RS sold at the beginning of last year 56,400 square meters of land on Jahorina, for about 21 million euros.
The sale of this state land was annulled on July 11, 2024, by the Constitutional Court of BiH, ordering the Government of the RS to annul all activities related to it.
The Constitutional Court of BiH emphasized that this case concerns state property that is under a ban on disposal and that the entities are not competent "in any way" to dispose of that property.
However, despite this, the land was registered as the property of the buyer, i.e., the private company "Drvo-Export" from Teslić.
The Constitutional Court of BiH announced on November 14 that the Government of the RS and its representatives had not implemented the decision declaring the sale on Jahorina unconstitutional, about which the Prosecutor's Office of BiH was informed.
The Secession Case
The Prosecutor's Office of BiH, confirmed for Faktor.ba, has filed a case after the U.S. Department of the Treasury (OFAC) revealed information about the organization of a working group by order of the President of the RS Milorad Dodik, which drafted a plan for the secession of the smaller BiH entity.
In response to Faktor's inquiry about whether they are aware of this information and since when, whether an investigation has been launched and what has been done so far, the Prosecutor's Office replied:
"We emphasize that none of the police agencies have submitted a report to the Prosecutor's Office of BiH regarding the content of the statement of the U.S. Department of the Treasury of January 17.
Despite the above, given that the statement refers to several events, certain parts of the statement have been added to existing files, and for an event for which no file previously existed, a new case has been filed."
According to additional information, it is precisely because of the part of the statement about the working group that worked on the secession of the RS that a new case has been filed.
As previously announced by OFAC, part of this secessionist group included, among others, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RS Siniša Karan and the Secretary General of the RS Dalibor Panić.
