FK Sarajevo claims it has resolved the issue with FIFA

(Patria) - The world football governing body (FIFA) today announced via its official platform a transfer ban for FK Sarajevo for three transfer windows, and the club immediately responded.

After FIFA announced that FK Sarajevo had received a transfer ban for three transfer windows, the club from Koševo also issued a statement.

From Sarajevo, they explained what the matter was about and stated that the situation has been resolved.

"Regarding the information that appeared in connection with the administrative proceedings conducted against our club, we wish to inform the public that the situation arose as a result of difficulties in international payment transactions and banking restrictions applicable in Venezuela, which caused a delay in the execution of the financial transaction.

The case concerned financial obligations towards the club Carabobo from Venezuela in the case of the intermediation of Kevin Viveros. Due to specific banking procedures and restrictions existing at the level of the state of Venezuela, difficulties occurred in the transfer of funds, although the club was at all times working on the full fulfillment of its obligations.

All obligations have since been fully settled, and the appropriate documentation has been submitted to the competent institutions and arbitration bodies.

We expect the procedure to be formally concluded within five working days, thereby removing the last administrative obstacles.

The club continues to function normally and remains fully focused on its sporting goals, upcoming activities, and achieving the set results," the statement from the club from Koševo reads.
