Financial Support from the City of Sarajevo to Associations of Children and Persons with Developmental Disabilities

(Patria) - The City of Sarajevo has been providing financial assistance and support for years to associations dealing with the education and empowerment of children with developmental disabilities and their families.

On this occasion, Mayor Abdulah Skaka today signed contracts with Ines Kavalec and Dževida Sulejmanović, presidents of the associations "Dajte nam šansu" and "Budućnost", to which planned and approved funds from this year's Budget of the City of Sarajevo were allocated for their projects.

"It is our obligation to support the work of associations that, through their activities, try to overcome all barriers and enable a quality and fulfilling life for a child or person with developmental disabilities and their families. The wider social community and all of us, as individuals, must act positively towards creating an environment where everyone will have equal opportunities regardless of different abilities," emphasized Mayor Skaka.

The presidents of the associations "Dajte nam šansu" and "Budućnost" thanked the City of Sarajevo for its continuous support, with the aim of improving professional and other necessary assistance so that children with disabilities and their families can have a better and more secure future.
