Fikret Prevljak released, BiH Prosecutor's Office requests restrictive measures

(Patria) - Fikret Prevljak, former general of the Army of RBiH, was released after being questioned at the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

The BiH Prosecutor's Office has submitted a proposal to the BiH Court for the imposition of restrictive measures against the suspect, which include, among other things, the confiscation of documents, a travel ban, and a ban on contacting witnesses and suspects in the case, as well as reporting to the competent police administration three times a week.

The suspect is under investigation for the criminal offense of war crimes against the civilian population, committed against dozens of victims of Serb nationality in the Sarajevo settlements of Hrasnica, Butmir, and Sokolović Kolonija, during the period from 1992 to 1995, including murders, unlawful detentions, forced labor, and other forms of inhumane treatment.

Prevljak was detained upon landing in Sarajevo from Istanbul due to an arrest warrant issued by the BiH Prosecutor's Office.
