FIFA sanctions: FK Sarajevo banned from registering new players for the next three transfer windows

(Patria) - Football Club Sarajevo has faced a serious problem ahead of the start of the summer transfer window, after the name of the Bordeaux club appeared on the official FIFA list of clubs that have been banned from registering new players.

According to data published in FIFA's registration ban system, Sarajevo is currently prevented from bringing in and registering new footballers during the next three transfer windows, which represents a significant blow to the club's plans for the new season and European challenges.

What additionally draws attention is the fact that FIFA has not yet published the specific reason for which this sanction was imposed. Therefore, it remains unknown whether it is a financial dispute, an administrative issue, or some other proceeding before the competent bodies of the world football governing body.

However, the situation is not hopeless. FIFA's rules provide for the possibility of lifting the ban before the end of the stipulated period if the club fulfills the obligations that led to the sanction or reaches an appropriate agreement with the party involved in the dispute. In such cases, the ban can be removed immediately after FIFA confirms that all necessary conditions have been met.

The leadership of Sarajevo now faces an important task to resolve the situation as soon as possible so that the club can smoothly plan reinforcements for the new season. It is especially important to find a solution in a short time, given that the Bordeaux team has European obligations and a fight for the top of the domestic championship ahead.

On the same FIFA list, there are currently several other clubs from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Velež and Sloga Doboj, which confirms that this is a mechanism used by the world football federation to ensure compliance with its regulations and decisions, reports N1.

For Sarajevo fans, the most important news is that such sanctions do not necessarily have to last until the end of the stipulated period. If the club successfully removes the cause for which it was punished, FIFA can lift the ban before the end of the three transfer windows, thereby allowing Sarajevo to regain the right to register new players.
